The lubricating grease applied afterwards can also reduce the burr rate of the steel wire rope. Therefore, the main reason for the occurrence of burrs on the steel wire rope during use is related to improper use by the user, such as inclined hanging, friction with other obstacles, and lack of maintenance.

Once the steel wire rope components on the high-altitude work fall arrester have burrs, even if they are not currently broken, they should be replaced in a timely manner. At the same time, lubricating oil should be applied to the steel strip, ratchet disc and other devices of the fall arrester.
