From the appearance, the rescue tripod has a simple structure and is very lightweight. However, due to its use of the principle of triangular stable structure, when the top cover of the tripod is subjected to gravity, the three brackets below will jointly bear the force. The foot chain at the bottom of the bracket also has anti slip effect, allowing it to be supported at fixed points. In firefighting and rescue work, there are strict regulations on the parameters of each component of the tripod, and manufacturers can measure and modify them according to the following three steps.
1. Support the tripod on a horizontal ground and make each support foot form a specified angle with the horizontal ground according to the manufacturer's instructions (if there is no clear requirement in the manufacturer's instructions, make each support foot form a 60 ° ± 1 ° angle with the ground). Use a tape measure to measure the vertical distance from the top of the tripod to the horizontal ground when the support feet are not extended or fully extended, and determine whether the measurement results meet the requirements of the fire tripod regulations.
2. Weigh the mass of each carrying box/package of the tripod using a scale with a division value of not less than 0.05kg, and determine whether the measurement results meet the requirements for tripods in the fire tripod regulations.
3. Place the tripod in normal working condition, that is, fully unfold the tripod support legs and support them on a horizontal ground. According to the manufacturer's instructions, make each support leg form a specified angle with the horizontal ground (if there is no clear requirement in the manufacturer's instructions, make each support leg form a 60 °± 1 ° angle with the ground). Tighten the protective chain (belt) to ensure that the winch is reliably connected to one of the support legs. The rope passes through the corresponding pulley, and the tripod equipped with an electric winch is powered on. Then load the standard load code of the rated load mass onto the hook at the end of the rope, and perform the descent operation. When the rope is unfolded to the red warning area, use a tape measure to measure the length of the rope from the end of the hook to the front end of the red warning area, and determine whether the measurement result meets the requirements of the fire tripod regulations.
4. Place the rescue tripod equipped with an electric winch in normal working condition, and then load the standard load weight of the rated load on the hook at the end of the rope for lifting operation. Use a stopwatch and a tape measure to measure the lifting height of the rope per unit time. The measured time should not be less than 30 seconds. Divide the measured lifting height by the measured time to determine whether the measurement result meets the requirements of 5.3.
