What ensures the safety of high-altitude workers is the instantaneous self-locking ability of the anti fall device. The self-locking is completed at the moment when the steel wire rope is pulled out. The length of the steel wire rope extended during the entire process is within 0.2 meters, and the impact force generated is less than 3000N, which will not cause harm to the human body and maintain a static posture suspended in the air.
So to ensure a stationary posture suspended in the air, it is also necessary to have the suspension point of the anti fall device above the head, which can only generate a vertical downward force. After this force is offset by the self-locking mechanism, it will naturally come to a standstill in the air. If the suspension point is diagonally above the head, there is a safety hazard.
If the suspension point is diagonally above the head, only the vertical downward force will be counteracted after the self-locking is completed. Under the influence of the fixed point position, it will still make repeated pendulum motion trajectories, which is prone to impact accidents and injuries. Therefore, this is why the high hanging and low hanging of the anti fall device emphasizes the vertical position above.
