The anti fall device paired with a safety rope can be used for self rescue

High altitude operations often use fall arresters combined with safety ropes, which are two completely different types of safety protection tools. The purpose of using them together is to provide secondary protection and further improve safety. In addition, when the fall arrestor self-locking occurs, high-altitude workers can use the safety rope to complete self rescue. How to execute it specifically?

As is well known, after the self locking of the anti fall device is completed, its traction wire rope cannot be further stretched because the ratchet and pawl under high load are in meshing state, and high-altitude workers can only be in a suspended state. Only after the external force on the anti fall device is removed, the meshing state will be unlocked, and the traction wire rope can continue to be stretched. If the anti fall device can only be suspended in mid air waiting for rescue without a safety rope, it will be different with a safety rope.

The suspended staff can pull the safety rope upwards to release the self-locking of the anti fall device. Then, the staff can use the safety rope to gradually move downwards. Throughout the process, the traction wire rope of the anti fall device will also be pulled out as the body moves downwards.
