Three characteristics of falling accidents

1. The falling process takes a short time, and the falling person has no time to take remedial measures. The reaction speed of ordinary people is 0.8s. Once falling, the worker will fall 0.45M within 0.3s. After 0.6s, the falling speed will reach 21km / h, producing 1089kg impact force.

2. Emergency rescue is difficult and the mortality is high. After falling from height, the injured parts are craniocerebral trauma, spinal cord injury, cervical fracture, pelvic fracture, femoral fracture and internal bleeding caused by abdominal organ rupture. The mortality of falling from height will also be increased due to factors such as untimely discovery, wrong rescue methods, long medical treatment time and so on.

3. The working environment is complex and prone to secondary injury. Falling accidents from height are most likely to occur in the process of building installation, climbing and erection, scaffold, hanging basket, climbing with ladder and suspended high-altitude operation. Secondly, there are many people involved in the "four mouths and five edges", and secondary injuries such as stabbing by objects below, drowning and electric shock are easy to occur after falling from height.
