What is the working principle of the differential anti fall device

A differential fall arrester is a protective device used by the human body to prevent oneself from falling from a height during high-altitude operations. During the operation, its upper hook is installed on the hanging point, and the webbing or steel wire rope wrapped around the steel strip inside the cover will continuously expand and contract with the freedom of the human body. Due to the fact that only the hook, cover, and steel wire rope are components of the fall arrester, especially its lower hook cannot be directly connected to the human body, it must be attached to the hanging ring of the safety belt to truly achieve good high-altitude operation protection effect.

Therefore, it can be said that the differential anti fall device is a transitional device connected in series between the safety belt and the hanging point, but at the same time, it is also an important device because inside its cover, there is a double self-locking braking system hidden. This system can enable the ratchet and pawl to perform internal self-locking and rapid braking after sensing the drastic changes in the speed of the steel wire rope, just like timely braking, to prevent the steel wire rope of the anti fall device from continuing to extend outward with the descent of the human body.

Once the steel wire rope is stopped in a timely manner, the human body connected by the steel wire rope cannot continue to descend. Once the human body rises to a safe ground through self effort or assistance, the force and pressure on the steel wire rope are released, and the ratchet pawl system senses this change. Under the action of the spring, it will rotate the wheel in the opposite direction, reset the brake gear, release the wheel, and the differential anti fall device will return to its normal working state.
