Working principle and maintenance requirements of self-locking differential gear

Self locking differential device is a steel wire rope type vertical lifeline protection equipment that can automatically extend and retract, also known as differential anti fall device, differential self-control device, anti fall safety device, high-altitude anti fall device, etc.

Before use, connect the self-locking hook at the end of the self-locking differential to the hook of the full body safety belt. It can immediately sense the operator's slip and fall situation, and automatically and quickly brake within a limited distance to complete the task of locking the steel wire rope.

After the self-locking differential lock work is completed, the operator can temporarily stabilize and search for nearby safety points such as ladders and platforms. Once they reach the safety point, the differential lock system will automatically return to normal after sensing a decrease in load. High altitude operators may also experience a false alarm and feel fortunate to have worn the differential.

The self-locking differential is designed to be sealed, and after a period of use, it should be regularly maintained and inspected. Maintenance inspections should be conducted at least once a year and should be completed by the manufacturer or authorized professionals designated by the manufacturer. Dismantle the casing and other components, inspect the appearance of the locking device for cracks, check the use of the steel wire rope and safety lock hook, and maintain and replace the steel wire rope to extend the product's service life.
