How to test the self-locking braking ability of the anti fall device

Time:2025-02-10 09:18:26 Click:139

There is a necessary step before using the differential anti fall device, which is to quickly pull the steel wire rope several times to test its self-locking ability. Not just pulling once, but conducting a minimum of 3 pull tests before each use.

What is the purpose of pulling the wire rope? There are two main points to consider: first, whether the anti fall device has any rope jamming phenomenon, and second, whether the self-locking ability of the anti fall device is qualified. Today we will mainly talk about the self-locking ability of anti fall devices.

The self-locking braking of the anti fall device and the safety belt on the car are based on the same principle, that is, in the case of sudden acceleration, the internal ratchet is thrown out under the action of centrifugal force, and the thrown ratchet will mesh with the pawl to form a braking mechanism. After we release the external force, the ratchet and pawl separate, and the steel wire rope will smoothly retract into the shell of the anti fall device.

And our rapid pulling of the steel wire rope test is to give the anti fall device an instant acceleration force to test its internal self-locking ability, which is a key part of the anti fall device. Only by doing a good hand pulling test can we preliminarily determine the integrity of the anti fall device.
