Mild cases may cause noise during operation, while severe cases may result in impurities rolling in and causing wear and damage to the differential components. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly clean and maintain the steel wire rope of the differential.

So, how should the differential wire rope be cleaned and maintained? We need to hang the differential on a fixed frame for fixation, pull out all the differential wire ropes, and during the cleaning process, do not let the wire ropes touch the ground. They should be at least 70 millimeters above the ground to prevent friction and wear between the wire ropes and the ground. Do not wipe and clean the steel wire rope while pulling it out, to avoid placing the steel wire rope on the ground at will.

Cleaning the differential wire rope is not only for cleaning and reducing wear of the differential, but also for inspecting the wire rope during the cleaning process to see if there are burrs or broken wires, and to troubleshoot faults or problems.
